A Scarecrow's Life - updated demo

This is the latest build of A Scarecrow's Life following player feedback.  Adjustments have been made to the game difficulty, audio and graphics.  This is an early prototype for development, research and educational purposes and is intended to demonstrate the core gameplay elements.

The aim of the game is to collect as many of the purple crystals as possible, whilst destroying enemies and avoiding hazards!  Collect as many crystals as you can to beat the high score.

Additional elements; such as moving platforms, bouncing platforms, powerups, additional attack types and enemies will be added over time to improve the overall gameplay experience.

Game Controls:

XBOX Controller:

Start game = A

Movement = Left stick

Jump = B (press B again whilst in mid air to double jump)

Attack = A

Block = Right bumper

Reset = R (keyboard)

KEYBOARD:

Start game = Space 

Movement = Arrow Keys

Jump = Space (press space again whilst in mid air to double jump)

Attack = Shift 

Block = Z

Reset = R
